Staff Training & Operating Your Flying Trapeze Rig

A rig without trained staff is a liability, not an attraction. MACA delivers operator training on your rig, at your site, at USD $400 per day — estimated at 10 days with an Activity Manager in place and a minimum team of 3 people. See full pricing.

What does flying trapeze operator training cover?

Standard Operating Procedures and safety protocols. Training establishes the written SOPs your operation runs on: daily rig checks before the first guest climbs, safety-line and belaying operation, harness and belt fitting, and emergency procedures. These are the same protocols our own academy in Phuket runs every day. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm curriculum outline with MACA]

Full integration of local staff. The goal is not a demonstration — it is bringing your local team to full, independent working capacity: running the board, working the lines, structuring a guest class and managing guest progression from first swing toward a catch.

Team unity and trapeze culture. A flying trapeze team works at height, on timing, with guests’ safety in their hands. Training deliberately builds the team culture that successful operations are built on — it is as essential to the attraction as the hardware.

Training operators is our daily business

MACA runs its own flying trapeze and aerial academy in Phuket (midaircircus.com) and continuously trains and develops its own coaching staff there. Developing competent, safe trapeze operators is not a sideline we attach to equipment sales — it is the core of how we run our own business, productized for yours.

What staffing does a flying trapeze operation need?

The minimum viable team is 3 people plus an Activity Manager. In operation that covers the pedestal board, the safety lines, and ground/guest management, with the Activity Manager owning scheduling, SOP compliance and the consumables stock. The 10-day training estimate assumes that team is hired and present from day one — training a partial team takes longer and costs more.

Ongoing development after handover: [PLACEHOLDER: refresher training offer — confirm with MACA]. Annual maintenance inspections (details here) also serve as a standing check on operating discipline.

Service prices exclude: return flights and visas. The client provides accommodation, transfers and meals for the MACA team.
